Autaza Glass was developed to perform the automatic quantitative and objective inspection of glass quality, ensuring fast and reliable product approval.  It is capable of identifying defects in the production line or the inspection room.

Defects identified
Optical distortion
Solid Inclusion
Reflection distortion

Autaza Glass increases production efficiency because the inspector doesn’t have to spend time looking for defects. All defects will be found, always with the same criteria, avoiding waste by non-standard inspections. The system can be customized, according to the customer’s quality criteria, by defining which actions must be taken in the productive system when a defect is found.
Savings generated
Savings by reducing rework and eliminating waste.
Inline application

Suitable for inline inspection or try-out

Objective inspection
The evaluation follows a unique and intelligent mathematical standard.
Efficiency gain
Increased efficiency and reduced inspection time.

How it works

Refraction Analysis

Refractive distortions can be seen when the glass is between the viewer and the viewed object. For example, a car’s windshield is glass that cannot have refractive distortion as it can affect what the driver is seeing. The system delivers the degree that the refractive distortion will appear to the observer. In the images, you can see how a distortion behaves at different angles.

Reflection Analysis

Reflection distortion can be seen when the viewer sees the viewed object reflected in the glass. It is expected the reflection be very similar to reality. But depending on the process you can find distortions in the glass. The Autaza Glass system uses a black and white stripe to reflect and highlight this distortion. The quality criteria are based on some distortion measurements.

Solid Inclusion

Solid inclusions are small objects in the glass, it seems like small white points. For this analysis, the Autaza Glass can be installed in line and works even with printed glass. The software performs two steps during the inspection: it captures images, and interprets the captured images using artificial intelligence designed to perform the analysis based on the highest quality standards of each client.

In-line Inspection or Try-out

The Refraction and Reflection Analysis can be made in the same inspection room as try-out mode. It is installed cameras, glass holders, lighting, and computers for both inspections. The systems work in the same software and just need the operator positioned the glass and play the software to start one automatic inspection. Solid inclusion inspection, on the other hand, must be performed in-line, so it can inspect 100% of the glass. It can even be used to optimize the cutting of the glass later.
